Who we serve
Atlas High School has been specifically designed as a response to the complex and rapidly changing world our students will inherit – a world shaped by accelerated technological advancement and shifting global challenges. We believe real educational choice means creating diverse pathways where all young people can find the model that best suits them; Atlas is not trying to be everything for everyone. Instead, we're building a community of passionate, purpose-led learners who are curious, engaged, and ready to make a difference.
Our students don’t wait to change the world.
We believe a core purpose of education extends beyond individual academic achievement. At Atlas, we see school as a powerful opportunity for young people to use their developing knowledge, skills, and passions to make a tangible, positive impact on their community. Our learning model is designed to facilitate this, empowering students to become active contributors and responsible citizens, understanding that their time at school can be a force for good.
Would your child fit in at Atlas?
First and foremost, Atlas students and their families should be aligned in the desired outcomes of secondary school. At Atlas, these are represented by the outer-ring of our learning compass.
Atlas is designed to meet students where they are, regardless of their academic achievements. Our goal is to support and guide every learner who brings a willingness to engage and a desire to contribute, on their path to becoming an Explorer – a student who is not only engaged and achieving but also possesses a strong sense of agency and purpose.
This type of learning is not for everyone, nor should it be - we have developed a model that is boutique and fit-for-purpose for a particular type of learner - the more diverse our schools become, the better equipped we are as a community to help every young person find their path to excellence.
During the enrolment process, we ask families to consider the following questions:
Do you believe that your child would thrive in an environment where:
They are consistently required to step outside the classroom and actively engage with real-world community challenges, even when these are complex and don't have easy answers?
They are expected to take significant ownership of their learning journey, contribute meaningfully within collaborative project teams over extended periods, and confidently share their work?
Learning is facilitated rather than taught and success is measured not just by academics, but equally through growth in character and positive community impact?
Students are challenged to consistently demonstrate progress in the development of both agency and engagement, as they grow to model Atlas’s Explorer Profile?
If you answered yes to all of the above, Atlas may be the right fit for you.
We will share information regarding Atlas’s enrolment process as it becomes available. This will be shared with families who have expressed interest.
